The tools best used for this purpose are <strong>Charts and Graphs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the example below, we will show how to create an <strong>S Curve Graph<\/strong> in Excel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating an S Curve Graph<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To create any type of graph, we need to input data. <strong>S Curve Graphs<\/strong> are usually used to present the timeline or progress of a certain activity or a project. For our example, we will use the planned data for a certain project, which will look at the progress per week, and the cumulative progress until it is completed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"321\" height=\"275\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-1.png 321w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-1-300x257.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several ways to create the <strong>S Curve Graph<\/strong>, out of this data:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>We can select only the data for cumulative results, then go to <strong>Insert &gt;&gt; Charts<\/strong>, and then choose the <strong>Scatter with Straight Lines and Markers<\/strong> among <strong>Scatter Charts<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1131\" height=\"780\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15555\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-2.png 1131w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-2-300x207.png 300w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-2-1024x706.png 1024w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/word-image-15553-2-768x530.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1131px) 100vw, 1131px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We will, as always, get a preview of our Graph. We can already see an error, i.e. that Excel shows the percentages <strong>up to 120 percent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To resolve this, we need to click on the labels that show the percentages, right-click on it, and choose <strong>Format Axis<\/strong>.
