We want to retrieve the formatted value that a cell contains; that is, the way it is displayed to the user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <b>Text<\/b> property of a <b>Range<\/b> object refers to the formatted value. Here&#8217;s an example illustrating how to use the <b>Text<\/b> property:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>Dim rng As Range\nSet rng = ThisWorkbook.Sheets(\"Sheet1\").Range(\"A1\")\nMsgBox rng.Text<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>In this example, we&#8217;re displaying the formatted value of the cell A1 in Sheet1 using a message box. Note that the <b>Text<\/b> property returns the formatted value as a <b>String<\/b> regardless of the original data type of the cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Check If a Cell Contains a Number?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To check if the cell contains a number, we can use the <b>IsNumeric<\/b> function. This function returns <b>True<\/b> if the cell contains a number and <b>False<\/b> otherwise.
