If you want to hide or unhide rows or columns, either to fit them on a screen or print your worksheet on a single page, you can do it in Excel in a few different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hide rows or columns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In order to hide rows or rows, follow these steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Select the rows you want to hide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Right-click one of the selected rows and choose Hide<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Now, the selected rows are hidden. The remaining six rows are still visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Normally, row numbers<\/a> or column labels are separated by a single line. If there is a double line, instead of a single, it means that there are some items hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In a similar fashion, you can hide columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Select the columns you want to hide.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Right-click one of the selected column labels and click Hide<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Unhide rows or columns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To unhide the hidden values, select two-row numbers below and above the hidden items and click Unhide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      To unhide columns, click column labels on the left and right of the hidden columns and click Unhide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Hide rows or columns with a shortcut<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      You can also hide rows and columns<\/a> with a keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You can use Ctrl + 9<\/strong> to hide rows, and Ctrl + 0<\/strong> to hide columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you select a few rows and use Ctrl + 9<\/strong>, it will hide these rows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      But you have to be careful if you choose Ctrl + 0<\/strong> (hide columns) instead it will hide all columns. In this case, in each column there are four cells selected, therefore all columns will be hidden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Instead of selecting entire rows or columns<\/a>, you can select a single cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you choose cell C7<\/strong> and then Ctrl + 9<\/strong>, it will hide row 7<\/strong>. If you use Ctrl + 0<\/strong>, it will hide column C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Unhide rows or columns with a shortcut<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      You can also use a keyboard shortcut to unhide hidden rows and columns<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Ctrl + Shift + 9<\/strong> – unhide rows<\/p>\n\n\n\n
