To use\nit, move your cursor over the green square in the bottom right corner of cell <strong>C2<\/strong> and drag it to cell <strong>C11<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"330\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/drag.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4828\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/drag.png 330w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/drag-300x255.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Copy a formula by double-clicking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The dragging formula is fine unless you deal with a huge number of rows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, you can double-click the green square and\n<a href=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/training\/formulas\/\">formulas<\/a> will be filled to the end of the column.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"330\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/double-click.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4829\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/double-click.png 330w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/double-click-300x255.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The only problem with this approach is that if you have a\nblank cell on the way, the fill stops before this cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"330\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/fill-interrupted.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4830\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/fill-interrupted.png 330w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/fill-interrupted-300x255.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, you can create a table (<strong>Ctrl + T<\/strong>). Now, if you double-click the triangle all cells will be\nfilled, and the ones without numbers to sum will return 0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/create-a-table.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4831\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/create-a-table.png 336w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/create-a-table-300x250.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fill down a single cell<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, we <a href=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/examples\/copy-and-paste-columns\/\">copied the entire column<\/a>, but you can do it for a\nsingle cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first way to do it is by dragging a square one cell down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also move your cursor under the formula and navigate\nto <strong>Home &gt;&gt; Editing &gt;&gt; Fill\n&gt;&gt; Down<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"257\" height=\"127\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/11\/fill-down.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4832\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Performing so many steps is not really practical, it much\nbetter to remember a keyboard shortcut.
