If you see marching ants around a cell, it means that the content has been copied or cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can paste the contents into cell&nbsp;<strong>C2,<\/strong>&nbsp;using the&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"shortcut\">Ctrl + V<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;keyboard shortcut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"346\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/copy.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/copy.png 346w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/copy-300x87.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"format wp-block-heading\">Cut and paste<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cutting is similar to copying in the sense- that in both cases the value is stored in memory. The difference between them lies in the fact that when you cut the contents of the cell, the value from that cell disappears after pasting it into a new cell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To cut cell contents, use the&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"shortcut\">Ctrl + X<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;shortcut.&nbsp;Now, press&nbsp;<strong><span class=\"shortcut\">Ctrl + V<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;to paste the contents of cell&nbsp;<strong>B2<\/strong>&nbsp;to cell&nbsp;<strong>C2.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"346\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/move.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-571\" srcset=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/move.png 346w, https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2018\/06\/move-300x87.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 346px) 100vw, 346px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you copy or cut content of cells, the data is copied both to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/officetuts.net\/excel\/en\/training\/windows-and-office-clipboard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Office and Windows clipboard<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"format wp-block-heading\">Copy the above value<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ctrl + D<\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;
