If you have a large list containing empty rows, dealing with each row manually may not be the best idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For that reason, I will show you how you can delete multiple rows at once with a few easy steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deleting Blank Rows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If we have a situation where there is only one column, or many columns with blank cells in the same row, removing them is very simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select cells from A1<\/strong> to B8<\/strong> and go to HOME >> Find & Select >> Go To Special\u2026<\/strong><\/a>. Now, select Blanks<\/strong> and click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can see, only blank cells are selected. Now, we will be able to remove rows 4 and 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We use one of the two methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First method:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Go to HOME >> Delete >> Delete Sheet Rows<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second method:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Use Ctrl + –<\/span><\/strong> to open the Delete<\/strong> window and then choose Entire Row<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After deleting these rows, our example will look like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deleting Blank Rows with the COUNTA function<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Take a look at a slightly more complicated example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this example, we need to delete only the fifth<\/strong> row because only in this one all cells are blank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can\u2019t use the same method we used earlier because only the sixth<\/strong> row will stay- no cell is empty (B6:D6<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, we use the COUNTA<\/strong> function, which counts only cells that are not empty<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Example:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In this example add another column at the end of our table and then insert the following formula into cell E3.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

=COUNTA(B3:D3)<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

Use Autofill<\/a> to fill the rest of the cells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select cells from E3<\/strong> to E8<\/strong> and go to HOME >> Find & Select >> Find<\/strong> (Ctrl + F<\/span><\/strong>). In Find what enter 0<\/strong> and click Find All<\/strong>. In our example, there is only one row with all cells blank and that is row 5<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select all the values (Ctrl + A<\/strong>) and click\u00a0Close.<\/strong>\u00a0Now, the same way as before use\u00a0Ctrl + –<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>and then delete the entire row.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
